How does it work?
Patient is put under general anaesthesia by a qualified anaesthetist and under a gynaecologist suction and evaluation method along with dilatation and curettage process is done.
How well does it work?
It works more than 99% of the time.
How long does the abortion take?
Surgical procedure may take 15 to 30 minutes that is upto 12 weeks of pregnancy. Beyond 12 weeks comes to II trimester abortion where patient may need 2-3 days of admission.

How does it work?
One pill is given orally on 1st day. On 2nd day another 4 pills are put vaginally or given orally. Patient starts bleeding after 4-5 hours. Bleeding may continue for 1 week or it's individualistic and varies from patient to patient.

IS ABORTION LEGAL IN INDIA

Yes, Abortion has been legal in India since the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act (MTP Act) was brought into effect in April 1972. The MTP Act makes abortion legal at the hospital up to 20 weeks for the right reasons.

Abortion pre-procedure tests are Blood and urine tests to check your health status and if you are fit and healthy to undergo a safe abortion. Also, an Ultrasound scan to check the duration of pregnancy and rule out an ectopic pregnancy.
